I am grateful for the tremendous amount of positive feedback I have received on the book, and I am thrilled to announce that the wait is over: the ebook version of “Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy: A Reference” is now available for Kindle! In addition, the Kindle version can be read on smartphones and tablets (iPhone, iPad, Android, etc.) Click on the image below to visit Amazon, where you can purchase the book or download a free sample.
I have had poor experiences with reference ebooks books even from quite reputable publishers, and I wanted this version to be as useful as possible, which is part of why it has taken five months since the publication of the print version to be able to offer it. Anyone familiar with the book knows that it is organized alphabetically by key ISTDP terms, and filled with cross-references to other entries. All of these are active links which immediately take you to the referenced entry, making it easy to “thumb through” the book as you might with a print reference. There are also active links to the bibliography, and a table of contents with a link to every entry in the book. As obviously desirable as these features are, I was amazed at how rare they can be in Kindle books.
I am sorry that the price is set so high; unfortunately, due to Amazon’s royalty policies I had to set it there so that I am not losing money compared to print books. My hope is that they will offer a significant discount off the ebook list price.
